Best Addiction Treatment Center: Nova Ranked 7th In Nation.

Last Updated on November 16, 2021

Nova Recovery Center ranks number seven on QuitAlcohol Top Ten Treatment Centers list for addiction treatment. QuitAlcohol.com is an initiative with the Alcohol Abuse Counsel and a trained group of volunteers. Their team consists of many writers, and individuals in recovery. QuitAlcohol shares the common goal of distributing information that the general public can use to make an educated decision and offer guidance and support for the struggling addict. They have taken the time to research each treatment center, see which types of insurance they take, and what their private pay rate it. After gathering this information from treatment centers across the US, Nova Recovery Center was ranked 7th best.

In the United States, more than 14,500 specialized drug treatment facilities provide counseling, behavioral therapy, medication, case management, and other types of services to persons with substance use disorders according to a report by drugabuse.gov.  A drug rehabilitation (often called drug rehab or just rehab) is a term for the processes of medical or psychotherapeutic treatment for dependency on alcohol, prescription drugs such as opioid pain killers and streets drugs like cocaine, heroin, or amphetamines. The general intent is to enable the patient to cease substance abuse, in order to avoid the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that can be caused by drug abuse. Treatment includes medication for depression or other disorders, counseling by experts and sharing of experience with other addicts. Some rehab centers include meditation and spiritual wisdom in the treatment process. On top of these factors, QuitAlcohol wanted to review our rehab program and here is what they said.

NOVA Recovery Center Offers a FULL CIRCLE of addiction treatment care from Detox to Aftercare/Sober Living

Residential Inpatient Care

NOVA’s residential drug and alcohol rehab center offers evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address substance use disorders. Combining treatment modalities with a twelve-step program creates a residential inpatient curriculum built to meet all addiction needs. Our long-term care strategy allows clients to experience and overcome the various stressors of life in a safe, therapeutic setting before starting their new life of recovery.

Upon enrollment into our inpatient drug and alcohol rehab center, each client will receive an individual assessment to identify those areas of life needing to be addressed. From this assessment, an individualized treatment plan is created to guide the work our clients do in our drug and alcohol treatment center. These plans are updated and adjusted regularly to accommodate not only the progress clients make, but also to address the issues uncovered during treatment that may be factors in our clients’ use.

Intensive Outpatient

Nova’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a level of care perfect for those who need continued support as they transition from inpatient care, or for those who are ready to make a change but cannot commit to a residential treatment program. In some circumstance, the program can provide treatment while allowing for greater freedom to attend work or other obligations as well.

IOP meets three times per week in a safe and comfortable clinical setting. The program empowers clients to learn more about the diseases of addiction and alcoholism while also exploring personal issues and learning to live sober.

The full program is around eight weeks. This allows for consistency, accountability, and practice with the many new skills Nova’s IOP covers.

Supportive Outpatient

Nova’s supportive outpatient program (OP) is specifically designed for clients to transition successfully back into society. Our professional clinical team has designed the supportive outpatient program with the following clinical and recovery objectives:

Relapse Prevention – Our team will focus on the risks and causes of relapse and teach relapse prevention techniques on emotional causes, unhealthy patterns of behavior, and external solutions.

Employment and Education Support – A member of our professional team will focus on resume building, job interviewing techniques, and job targeting. The same method will be utilized for education support. Once these techniques have been learned, each client will develop a plan of action to accomplish their goal. Through the use of the personal monitoring system, accountability to the plan of action can assist in accomplishment.

Continuum of Care

Nova’s drug rehab in Austin provides a comprehensive continuum of care, specifically designed for the highest possible outcomes for long-term sobriety. Our admissions team, can help you in individualizing your continuum care needs. Through our continuum of care services, we can compile a 15-month program that will start with our residential drug and alcohol treatment center and end with helping you transition to living on your own in society, sober.

Your individualized continuum of care plan can include residential inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, aftercare, sober living, and/or personal monitoring. We’re able to design a full continuum of care at all of our locations by hand-picking each tool to meet your specific needs. This individualization ensures that you have continued support to achieve long-term recovery, no matter which location you choose.

Aftercare

Nova’s aftercare program provides ongoing support through group therapy and is specifically designed for alumni who have graduated from our inpatient residential treatment. Facilitated by a licensed counselor, the group is designed as a clinical and recovery check-in. Alumni use the group as an opportunity to receive clinical and recovery advise from clinicians and peers regarding their current situations. Once acclimated in a new sober lifestyle, alumni often face events they did not experience in a 90-day treatment program. To continue the path of long-term recovery, our aftercare program serves as a vehicle for continued care after a successful completion of inpatient residential treatment.

Nova Recovery’s Aftercare services are available in both the Austin and Houston, Texas locations. Aftercare is facilitated once a week, on Tuesday nights. If Alumni have questions or need additional support, our licensed clinicians can schedule a convenient time for a private individual session.

Sober Living

Our professional team believes clients seeking recovery will benefit from living in a structured sober living home after discharging from our inpatient substance abuse treatment program. Refraining from mind-altering substances is only one piece of the recovery puzzle. A structured sober living home will assist in teaching the necessary life skills to transition into a healthy, sober life. The environment is comprised of a community of individuals living in recovery who are able to share experiences, strengths, and hope. To succeed in a sober lifestyle, clients will create healthy routines, learn responsibility, and gain valuable work and life skills.

Our sober living in Austin and Houston provide onsite resident managers, accountability, sober support, employment, education, and volunteer placement assistance, individualized programming, and regular drug and alcohol testing. We also provide sober living in Colorado Spring, Colorado.

Personal Monitoring

Nova’s curriculum-driven addiction monitoring program allows clients to partner with a sober coach in order to receive ongoing support and encouragement. The sober coach will guide the client through a life skills and recovery curriculum to develop a plan to reach their recovery goals. Once a goal is established, the sober coach will help the client achieve it through an accountable partnership. Having been in early sobriety, the experience of the recovery coach will assist the client in avoiding relapse triggers and behaviors. Through working with the client’s accountability circle (family, friends and sponsor), the recovery path can be maintained. Upon enrollment, the proper contact frequency between recovery coach, client, and accountability circle will be established. In addition, the sober coach and client will meet on a weekly basis for approximately twelve weeks to process curriculum goals and objectives.
